Game Freak might be best known or in some cases, only known for developing the mainline Pokemon games – but they do other stuff to! Today’s latest acquisition will help them continue doing this.

Game Freak have bought and taken over Japanese smartphone game developers Koa Games and will absorb the company into its operations. It’s unlike that any of the talent from this company will go into making anything Pokemon but they could just end up creating the next HarmoKnight or Tembo the Badass Elephant.

You can see what Koa Games’ lineup is on the their website, it is very Japanese focused.
