The sequel to the WiiWare hit has now officially been revealed. LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias is its name and will expand on the original title with the ability to change seasons which holds the key to solving puzzles. Dip into water which was once frozen, freeze enemies or use the weather to create snowballs to through at enemies. The power of the wind is still there of course but the season changing dynamic will add another layer of depth to the puzzles.

You again take the control of Toku and Enril on a journey to save Toku’s mother, lift an ancient Curse and thwart the evil Balasar.

First screenshots of the game have also been revealed and even at this early stage it’s shaping up to be another hit. Lost Winds is currently still one of the best WiiWare titles available and you should pick it up in anticipation for the follow up.

No release date or pricing has been announced at this stage.
