Free DLC coming to New Super Mario Bros 2, Golden Classic Course Pack
In a Mini Nintendo Direct installment today, Satoru Iwata revealed some new and free DLC coming for New Super Mario Bros. 2. So why is Nintendo feeling generous all of a sudden? Well, we’ve reached 300 billion coins collected in the game and they want to celebrate.
So until January 31st, Nintendo will be giving away the ‘Golden Classic Course’ Pack. The pack contains coin rush levels remade from Super Mario Bros (World 1-1, World 1-2 and World 1-4) and Super Mario Bros 3. (1-1 and 1-5).
After January 31st they well cost 200 yen in Japan. Pricing and availability for the rest of the world haven’t been revealed.
According to Nintendo, the levels should be available in Japan from today, but we haven’t seen them on the game’s store yet.
Update: The Golden Course Pack is now up on the games store.

Is it free for us at the moment? I don’t get the game till Christmas so it’d be good if I could get the pack free. 😛
Oh wait, did you mean Japan’s game’s store? My bad. 😛 Well I hope it’s free when it comes to Australia, and stays that way for Chrissie.
Easy levels (there’s a part where it rains coins non-stop) and more of a nod to past SMB stages.
It’s available in Australia now. I got the notification last night. 🙂
