Paid DLC not yet confirmed outside the region.

Nintendo Japan has released the first paid downloadable content for the 3DS. Players who use Tobidasu Print Club Kiradeco Revolution, a very basic camera and photo editing app, will now be able to download three different sets of photo decoration parts, including stamps, backgrounds and frames. The sets come in ‟Mario Kart 7”, ‟Spring Trial” and ‟Mario Basic” flavours and cost ¥100 each (about AU$1.20).

It was originally thought that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy, out in Japan tomorrow, would be the first title offering paid DLC on the 3DS. Not to be outshined, Nintendo could be viewed as having jumped the gun with this move. What are your thoughts on these types of offerings and their price?
