First footage of 90’s Arcade Racer zooms into view

Backers of the 90s Arcade Racer could have been forgiven if they thought the game was, well dead.

With updates on the Kickstarter title few and far between and the way these things go it was a worry there for a while. However, worry no more as the first video of the game in action has been posted on NintendoLife and it’s looking very slick.

An homage to the likes of Daytona USA, 90’s Arcade Racer aims to replicate that experience once again 20 years ago. The drifting, the handling and even the look of the game seems to be recreated here beautifully. The CRT scanlines is a nice touch too.

Still no release date as of yet, but it’s looking closer at least.
