The accessory will obviously be used for swordfighting, but surprisingly itll also replace IR functionality for aiming

Last E3, Shigeru Miyamoto shared that hed like for the next Zelda game on Wii to be MotionPlus-exclusive, and it seems that it might just be the case from what he explained in a recent Q&A at Tokyo.

“In this (instalment of the series), we’re using MotionPlus to make you feel much more like you’re actually fighting while holding a sword in your hand," said Miyamoto. “In the previous game, you aimed at things by pointing at the screen, but this time we’ll use MotionPlus to create a much more convenient targeting system and a more pleasurable playing experience.”

The aiming system here sounds intriguing. Do you think itll be similar to the Archery minigame in Wii Sports Resort, or a completely different system? Let us know in the forums or comments section below.
