Firmware update version 5.5.2 for Wii U is now available

Take a guess as to what it does.

Nintendo has pushed a new firmware update out for the Wii U, it doesn’t do anything you can see but you’ll need it to access the eShop.

Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience
