Final Wii Internet Channel Released – Screens and Video

After a system update, go to the Shop Channel and re-download the Internet Channel (the “”download”” button has been replaced with an “”update”” button).

For now, go update your Wii if you have access to it. The Internet Channel will still receive periodic updates and support from Opera, The browser will remain free for Wii owners to download through the end of June. After June, users who havent already downloaded the Opera browser can go to the Wii Shop Channel to download it for 500 Wii Points.
The final version includes a multitude of updates, including:
– Improved zooming: new manual mode with lots of levels of zoom
– B button scrolling is the same, but has graphics attached
– Improved zoomed font
– Favourites menu loads much faster and shows more favourites
– Ability to hide the toolbar (manually or automatically)
– Buttons that will instantly type common preset letters, such as “”www”” or “”.com””
– New page loading cursor animation
– New sound effects
– Basic info page (useful for the URL of the page)
– Proxy settings
– Ability to delete cookies
– Screen width option
– Search menu, supported by Google and Yahoo!
– No more password needed, unless set in the settings
