Joe the Condor and Zero fill the gaps as expected; videos of the duo inside

Capcom has finally decided to show off the last two of the new fighters for their upcoming Tatsunoko vs. Capcom for Wii, but they are hardly a surprise as we saw evidence of them in an earlier leak.

Joe the Condor makes for the Tatsunoko entry out of the two. He joins Ken the Eagle and Jun the Swan already in the game to make three of the five heroes originally from the Gatchaman anime. The naming of the characters used in the game appears to be from the dubbed Gatchaman OVA remake.

On the Capcom front is Zero, the star of the Mega Man Zero series. He originally appeared in Mega Man X, where he lead the Maverick Hunters which X eventually joined. His melee Z-saber makes him a great compliment to the ranged original Mega Man in Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

This brings the total characters to 25 (13 Capcom, 12 Tatsunoko), so why might the ESRB have earlier stated that you could choose "among 26 characters"? Quite possibly they were including the final (unplayable) boss in the game to bring it to that number. So, unless Capcom suddenly announces a ’final’ final character, that is what we’ll have to assume for now.

Although Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is confirmed for a January 29, 2010 release in Europe (three days after the NA version hits), there aren’t any specifics for when it’ll be arriving here. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long.
