Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles – Echoes of Time announced

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles – Echoes of Time, will be a brand new and (from initial scans) what looks to be a very ambitious online venture for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. The newly announced title is said to be heavily focused on co-operative play over the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, and will be playable on both the DS and the Wii. More inside In addition, the Wii version is alledged to allow the importing of Mii’s to create your own characters, and the subsequent transferral of the character to the Nintendo DS. What’s quite possibly the biggest revelation, however, is the engine that Square Enix was using the develop the game.

Dubbed the “”Pollux Cross Platforming Engine””, the game will be cross platform compatible! What does this mean exactly? Players can play along with people on both systems, regardless of what system their on! All that will be required is a connection to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles – Echoes of Time is currently on track for a January 29th release in Japan, with no other plans confirmed to bring it to our shores (or even the US.)
