An interview with EA Sports’ Michael Blank, producer of the Fight Night series, has revealed some clues regarding the possibility of a Fight Night title on the Wii. Just what did Blank have to say when asked about a Wii version?

Read on to find out.
In the interview with Doghouse Boxing, Blank was asked whether EA were considering a Fight Night for the Wii and its revolutionary control system. In response to this question, Blank commented:

Were talking about it right now. Were contemplating and we definitely feel there are some exciting things we can do with the Fight Night franchise and the Wii. When you play Wii Boxing it is a very simple experience and I think that is what they designed it to be just to let you know that you can throw punches. With Fight Night we have an amazing simulation of Boxing and so we need to take those Wii controls and tailor it to what the Fight Night consumer might want to experience. We are looking at it right now and I am sure you will something some time in the future on the Wii.

Certainly a good indication that Fight Night will indeed be released on the Wii some time in the future.

First gaming experiences were with my older brother playing Sonic the Hedgehog on the Sega Master System and Sega Mega Drive. I was about 12 years old when the PS1 and the N64 were just about to be released, and I wanted to get a PS1 based on my experience playing some demo PS1 games at a Video Games Heaven store. On the day we came to lay buy the PS1, they had demo N64 consoles set up in the middle of the shopping centre and we naturally took some time to sample the goods. Dad, who barely played games, decided that the N64 would be a better console and I have never looked back since then. Don't get the time to play games as much as I did when I was younger, though I still enjoy nothing more than sitting back on the couch and being absorbed into a totally different world.
