To coincide with the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa this year, EA Sports are continuing their tradition and releasing a game alongside it. The game is titled 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa, just in case you werent sure what you were going to be buying, and its heading to the Wii, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PSP. Thats right, no DS version this time. The games are due for release in April.
The game has all 199 teams that took part in the World Cup qualifications, all 10 stadiums from around South Africa and the ones from the qualifying regions. Like previous iterations, youll be able to take your team to World Cup glory in a re-creation of the qualifications and tournament.
The Wii version of the game will have a different art style to the other versions, one that celebrates the cultural vibrancy of the first World Cup in Africa. It also has a special game mode where you can create a custom team of players taken from other teams around the world, and go up against the 32 participating World Cup teams. No word if the Wii version will have the online features of the HD consoles.
