FIFA 14 coming to Wii and 3DS

Electronic Arts has revealed FIFA 14 will launch on both the Wii and 3DS later this year. The news came to light just hours after EA’s 2013 E3 press conference had wrapped up.

Sadly EA’s relationship with the Wii U remains the same. There are currently no games in development for Nintendo’s latest system, or FIFA in this particular case.

Earlier this year the company revealed FIFA 14 would be skipping the Wii U after the low sales figures of FIFA 13.

As grim as the current situation sounds, this latest announcement is still positive news for Nintendo.

FIFA 14 will launch in North America on the 24th of September and worldwide on the 27th of September.

And yet it comes out on the PS2…honestly, this is just Wii U (or Nintendo) hate.

I thought this was a typo… but nope. Confirmed for the Wii, not the Wii U…

It is highly unlikely that the PS2 version of Fifa 14 will be released in Australia. I’m assuming that the PS2 version is for countries where a lot of gamers still cannot afford to upgrade to a contemporary console.

Still, it’s crazy that a contemporary game is being released across three generations of consoles, all by the same manufacturer.
