Factor 5s return to Nintendo may produce a game sooner rather than later

Factor 5, who produced the Rogue Squadron series of Star Wars-based flight combat games for the 64 and Gamecube, stopped making games for Nintendo in order to produce the woefully unsuccessful and critically panned ‘Lair’ for the PS3 in 2007. The bad reception the game received resulted in a shake-up of the creative direction within the company, and no new games have been announced since- until now.

Achim Moller, the lead software architect at Factor 5, has listed an ‘Unannounced Wii-Title’ for release in 2009 on his Twitter- indicating that we may be hearing something very soon if the game is set to release within the year. My bet is the leak is intentional, and that we may have more solid information, oh around June 3-4 or thereabouts.
