Ubisoft says set phasers to wow

Ubisoft’s UK chief Rob Cooper has come out saying gamers should not discount Nintendo’s ability to innovate the home console.

Cooper spoke to MCV UK saying he expects the rumoured Project Cafe to “wow” when it is shown off for the first time at E3 next week.

"What you always get with Nintendo is innovation, with consumers at the heart of the technologies they create, which will always result in huge success and I’m more than confident that Wii 2 will live up to this," he told MCV.

We’ll get our first look at the new system on June 9 at 2am (AEST) at Nintendo’s E3 briefing. I wonder if Iwata’s comments circa 2005 that people will say “wow” when they see their console’s graphics will actually be true this time.

Join the discussion on the forums about what you think we’ll see in the new console. Will it have the rumoured touch screen controllers or are Nintendo planning some other big surprise?
