New report suggest that the piracy of DS games is to blame for decline in sales

Nintendos been hit hard with the old piracy battle as of late, so much that in Europe, its reported that game sales in the region have dropped nearly 50 percent in the last few months.

Nintendo blames the old R4 cards for the drop with trillions of yen being lost to piracy each year. Nintendos figures come from a study of download sites in which Nintendo counted 238 million illegal downloads.

Nintendos attempts at stamping out piracy here in Australia have stepped up and Nintendo Europe promises the same.
