In a rather surprising announcement from Laurent Fischer of Nintendo Europe, WiiWare titles will be getting some decent media coverage via advertising, says the employee of Nintendo Europe. Relatively though, this is a strange move on Nintendo’s part considering the little to no coverage of the recently launched platform in America or even Australia, but why would Nintendo Europe do such a thing? More inside “”We believe that this software we have is very unique so the idea is that we need to drive awareness of what is available and how it works. We know that it takes time to drive that awareness among the general public.”” Says Fischer in an interview with Gamesindustry.biz. The advertisements have already started airing in France and are to be launched in several other countries in the European Union soon.
