The Escapists 2 Gets Two New Trailers

Back in late February, Nintendo announced during their Nindies Showcase that The Escapists 2 would be getting a release on the Nintendo Switch later this year, and now we get to see a little more of the game.

Team17, the UK publisher responsible the sequel to the critically acclaimed indie strategy game, uploaded two new trailers for the game late last night. The first is an announcement trailer for the release date of the game, though sadly it only gives a release date for other platforms — the Switch version is coming later in the year. It does give us a closer look at the gameplay, however, and it looks fantastic so far.

The second trailer is a little more interesting; it’s a trailer for a new online experience called Create-A-Con. As the name suggests, Create-A-Con lets you create a prisoner avatar, with over 300 customisation options from skin colour to hair style and everything in between. You can then download the avatar and use it for whatever you like (I put mine in the header image). It’s not much, but it’s a fun little idea to tide us over until the game releases.
