The Nintendo-published musical puzzle-action game will be broken into four separate downloadable DSiWare titles, with the first two components releasing in Japan later this month

The first two Electroplankton DSiWare titles plucked from the original will be the modes ‘Rec-Rec’ and ‘Lumiloop’ for 200 points apiece, with the remaining titles to be released later in the year. The 2005 game was a sleeper hit amongst DS owners, with a high rate of international importing despite modest overall sales. This is an interesting move by Nintendo, who appear to be giving the game a new lease of life by marketing it though DSi.

The original game was never available in Australia despite a planned release. Looks like we might get our hands on it finally, albeit in four separate pieces and for around $12 AUD.
