Another year eGames has come around, this time last year the Wii was mere weeks away and the expo was filled to the brim with people wanting to try it out and of course sample everything else that the expo has to offer. This article covers a keynote done by Marketing Boss of Nintendo Australia Greg Authorten, which was titled Everyone is a Gamer and also covers the demo of Metroid Prime 3, Mario Galaxy and Crossbow Training. More Inside The keynote today wasnt about announcing anything, it was about continuing the reinforcement of Nintendos philosophy that being continuing to expand the market and make through new experiences with the DS and Wii, thereby making everyone a gamer. Last year it was Nintendogs and Brain Training now and in the future games like Sight Training will continue this expansion. People that didnt play games are playing now and not just for entertainment but physical activity and education, noting cases where the elderly have played it in elderly care homes and kids using the DS in primary schools. Zelda Phantom Hourglass with its predominant touch based controls gives a new spin on a well established franchise.

Greg was quick to point out though that its not all just about the casual, saying that Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime 3 and Links Crossbow Training have that hardcore appeal but elements like the Zapper in Links Crossbow training can make a game feel new.

The keynote was deliberately short with Greg finishing off by saying the best way to get this message across is to show it, Jamie and Kalum then joined the stage for demos of Galaxy, Prime 3 and Links Crossbow Training.

Jamie shows off his moves in Metroid Prime 3 demonstrating the near beginning of the game, using exaggerated motions to demonstrate the motion sensitive features of Samus Arans latest adventure.

Super Mario Galaxy was shown off on the big screen; as well as on accompanying Plasmas featured next to the screens showing off the vibrancy of the game and the fact that it looks good, damn good. Crossbow Training was last showing off all three modes, the game looks exactly like Twilight Princess which is not too bad of a thing. But plays completely different.
