eGames day one is over, and weve got some pictures from the floor as well a brief recap of events.

With a new venue and Nintendo missing this year we were worried going into this years eGames expo. It had been working so well at getting better every year—why would you mess with it? While there is still plenty to see and do it is noticeable with Nintendo and Sony’s absence, Nintendo always put on a show on stage and that was missing, as were Australian Gamer boys Matt and Yug. Without them, the main stage stayed empty for most of the day, a Dissecta panel was cancelled which didn’t help things. We think tomorrow with a fuller schedule things may feel more alive.

So who was there? Along with a swarm of retailers and manufacturers there were a few game publishers on show. Ubisoft not only had Red Steel 2, Rabbids Go Home, Shaun White World Stage and Just Dance on show but also Assassin’s Creed II, Splinter Cell Conviction and the Avatar game on a 3D LCD TV; it’s very impressive technology. AFA Interactive had a Boy and His Blob on show along with Fairytale Fights on the PS3. Other Nintendo games included Spectrobes Origins and Toy Story Mania from Madman.

If you can’t head down tomorrow or Sunday we’ve taken some snaps. Look for our impressions and video of the games on show soon.
