eGames and Entertainment Expo kicks off this weekend

The eGames & Entertainment Expo kicks off at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre this weekend and will be the largest event for the games, multimedia and entertainment industries ever to hit Australia. The expo will feature the latest and greatest products from all the big names like Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, who will preview their new Wii console at the event – three weeks before it is officially launched to the Australian market.

Expo opening hours are Friday 17 November, 2pm to 7pm, Saturday 18 November, 10am to 7pm and Sunday 19 November, 10am to 4pm. The Vooks crew will be there all three days covering the event so if you see us say hello!

The eGames & Entertainment Expo will provide visitors with the opportunity to explore the world of electronic games handheld and digital entertainment. Occupying over 4,500m2 of space at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre it will the largest event for the games, multimedia and entertainment industries ever to hit Australia. With so much to see, try and buy the expo will be a buzz of activity and adrenalin over the three day show period.

Noel Gray Managing Director of show organiser, Australasian Exhibitions and Events commented, The eGames & Entertainment Expo has been welcomed by games enthusiasts and novices young and old. There will be something for everyone at this event and we have ensured there will be plenty of opportunities for visitors to get hands on and the thrills, action and industry information on offer at this event will satisfy the widest variety of tastes. There are fabulous door prizes on offer and it will be a fun day out for the whole family.

A number of exhibitors are using the show as a launching pad for new products, many of which are world first launches. Visitors to the show will literally be among the first people to get hands-on with the latest gadgets and games products and accessories to hit the market. In short, the Melbourne Exhibition Centre will be the place to be and we anticipate some 15,000 visitors from all around the country will attend over the three days.

Over 50 companies will be exhibiting at the expo, including major names Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, Auran Games, Madman Entertainment, Scorpion Technology, Futuretronics, LG and Altech Computers.
