EB Games offering a cool glow-in-the-dark steelbook for Luigi’s Mansion 3

It’s a little early for a bargain roundup, but EB Games has a cool preorder bonus for Luigi’s Mansion 3 that we thought was worth pointing out.
If you preorder Luigi’s Mansion 3 at EB Games (while stocks last) you’ll get this cool looking glow-in-the-dark steelbook.
Naturally EB Games is never the cheapest price to preorder (and you might not be able to price match given this bonus, ask your local store), but a shiny glow-in-the-dark case might be enough to sway you.

Unless it’s a separate product code, they will price match, as the stew hook apples s to be a preorder “free gift”
Erm… steel case (not “stew hook”) 😀
LOL. Glad you clarified as I was thinking they must have made huuuge changes for number 3 to have a wacky bonus of Stew Hook Apples! ?
The whole point of these exclusive pre-orders is to coax people into paying full-price at EB, even though we know full bloody well that it will be readily available for around $59 at Big W and JB at launch, but unfortunately I am leaning towards EB on this one, though I’ll reserve judgement as JB will occasionally have a pre-order bonus of their own (as well as the lower price) as was the case, more recently, with Super Mario Maker 2, where I received the stylus and key ring at launch, without pre-ordering, and at $10 less than RRP (placing it in a happy medium between Big W’s $64 without any bonuses, and EB’s $80 with the notebook instead of a key ring).
Quite frankly, I’m a little puzzled that Nintendo continue to bother to favour EB in this way considering their practice of selling used games, and their hideous return policy where they shamelessly sell used games as new (which is surely against Australian consumer law), which is why I almost never buy anything from them unless it is an at-launch special edition, or the rare occasion that I can pick up an older release still in its original factory seal.
I recently bought DOOM on PC from EB, which had been blatantly resealed, and the case was in pretty poor shape, which wasn’t particularly apparent while the fake seal was intact. I’ll might stick with Amazon for post-launch game purchases from now on as I am sick to death of buying “new” games in absolute crap shape.
Appears JB hi-fi also have a pre-order bonus (cleaning cap ring).
Anyone know of we can pre-order from EB then price match later?
Not if you want the steelbook case. An easily manipulated (or otherwise clueless) clerk may still give you the bonus after price-matching, but they shouldn’t.
