EB Games and JB Hi-Fi are preparing for SNES Mini early
If you’ve preordered a Nintendo Classic Mini Super Nintendo Entertainment System from EB Games or JB Hi-Fi online you might have noticed an email in your inbox regarding your order.
Both stores are letting people know that they’re going to be charging people’s credit cards early, ahead of the system’s launch on September 30th.
For JB Hi-Fi they’ve email saying they’ll start packing the SNES Mini consoles on Tuesday 19th September and that this may trigger a shipment notification. However, they will only start shipping them out on September 28th which means in certain states if it doesn’t get delivered Friday you might not it until the Monday after.
Hey, Victoria, you wanted a Grand Final public holiday, this is what you get.
With EB Games they’re going to start billing people in full from as early as tomorrow, September 20th. If you need to update your details you best contact EB Games before this happens.
So why do this or even go to the lengths to tell everyone? The SNES Mini is going to be a huge console launch, as big as any other regular console and they want to get it right. The NES Mini release was a disaster of epic proportions, with these precautions at least everyone who has ordered one should get one close to or right on launch.
We hope.
JB Hi-Fi already charged me back when I made a preorder a few months ago…?
They only charged me $1 and the rest just today. I got issued new credit card between pre-order and charge date and I was worried it might not go through but it did.
