Head of EA Sports Peter Moore has said that his company could be making a bigger effort in developing games for Nintendos Wii.

Moore, who has been with EA Sports since defecting from Microsoft two years ago, noted that the Wii was a great opportunity for game developers to tap into a whole new market of gamers, but that EA could do more to step up to the challenge. "I think we need to continue to work on the Wii. When I look at the attach rate on the Wii of our software to where I think we should be, we’re under-performing still, we need to do much better," said Moore in an interview with Eurogamer, “Wii continues to bring new people into our business… and we as an industry need to continue to take advantage of that and maybe make better games for the Wii.” EA haven’t completely left themselves behind, however, as two EA Sports titles, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 and Grand Slam Tennis (a Wii exclusive) will be the first third-party titles to take advantage of Nintendo’s upcoming MotionPlus add-on.

EA are as yet the only third-party company to offer a pack-in bundle of the new peripheral with their games. In the interview, Moore remained coy when pressed about a possible EA-developed cricket game for the Wii, offering no hints about whether they were pursuing a motion-controlled cricket game.
