EA to drop the Need for Speed series?

While Pro Street wasnt a hit with fans, it seems that Need for Speed: Undercover hasnt been doing so well either and now the entire Need for Speed franchise may be dropped. While there was plans to split the NFS team into two and develop a NFS game on a 12 month cycle as a well as a 24 month cycle it seems that perhaps this isnt the case. EA has commented on the matter though saying “”We’re working through a process on people, products, and facilities at EA and don’t have any announcements today. Perhaps EA is just following through on plans and dropping NFS from the year rotation, but well have to wait and see. Source: 1up
