EA Sports President Peter Moore has given renewed hope to Australias growing Wii fanbase in a new interview by admitting that the company is still looking at the possibility of developing a new Cricket game. Moore said the growing video game market in India had caught the attention of EA Sports and it was watching the development of 20/20 Cricket closely.

"We continue to look at Cricket, you will see us talk about a little bit more about the Indian market for Cricket," Moore said. "We continue to watch the 20/20 format and seeing where that is going, but the National Test game is still the pre-eminent way people want to play the game." In the interview Moore acknowledged the long wait Cricket fans have had for a new game. "But that doesn’t mean we don’t have long term plans for Cricket," he said. "It’s good for the Indian subcontinent where we are starting to see a lot of growth and development." What about Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, England and South Africa Peter? Dont you think it would be good for those countries too?
