Developers of the biggest sporting franchises in the industry, EA Sports have declared that the upcoming MotionPlus attachment for the Wii remote is incredibly responsive- so much so that they have had to scale back the responsiveness in a few games they are developing. “”At times it’s overly responsive. It had so much fidelity that at times we have limited that fidelity to make it a compelling experience and giving you full total control”” said producer Thomas Singleton in an interview with TechRadar. More inside This extra overhead in responsiveness means that devs can control the level of sensitivity in future projects to match the appropriate experience for a given game.

EA are one of the first third parties to take advantage of the new tech, with Grand Slam Tennis developed exlusively for Wii, releasing in the same month we are expecting MotionPlus to launch, and Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2010 later in the year.
