Conference Updates

1:18AM: That’s it folks, we got our Smash Date for December, Galaxy date in November! More on the Wii Zapper and Nintendo’s babym, Wii Fit. We’ll have a more indepth report later on tomoro
1:17AM: Reggie Thanks Audience.
1:16AM – This is Nintendo’s Moments to lead, Nintendo doesn’t care about market share in the gaming industry, Nintendo want more time of your day, minute by minute. When that day comes when Video games are the top form of entertainment, Nintendo will be happy and satisfied.
1:15AM – Demo Over, Reggie is talking about the gaming industry again. How good it is at the moment.
1:14AM – Reggie owns Shiggy in Soccer Head Butting
1:12AM – Game shows your BMI – And it says reggie is overweight but he stressed muscle weighs more then fat. Everyone is laughing at him. Head to Head Soccer Competition with Shiggy and Reggie.
1:09AM – Will now do a Body Check on Reggie with Wii Fit. Tells Shiggy to choose “”Heavy Clothing”” but choses light, laughing ensues. Shows your centre of Gravity. As you play over time it build graphs.
1:08AM – The board is called the Wii Balance Board, It can measure your weight and your balance. And it is Wireless and could be used in more games in the Future.
1:07AM – 40 Activities in the Game
1:05AM – Doing these stretches build muscle strength. Guy now demoing Step Areobics, Last girl is showing off “”Sideways Twist””.
1:03AM – The one he wanted to introduce was no Mario Kart, Galaxy but WiiFit, On stage trainers will demo the game on Stage, doing Stretches.
1:00AM – You have some funky board on the floor, doing stretches, lifting your leg… Balancing, push ups, going Hula Hoops, doesn’t use the Wii Remote at all. Step on Step Off. Finally some Wii Remote Useage. Now they are doing Yoga or some fancy thing like that. It is being demoed on stage.
12:58AM – Last game to be featured, is Wii Fit
12:56AM – Vision Training game coming – Called Flash Focus, visual tests to give your eyes a work out. My Word Coach from Ubisoft coming, My Life Coach improves you vocab better. All of these games stem from Wii Sports.
12:55:AM – Showing off Picross, My Sims from EA, Shows off some of High School Music, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 also shown off.
12:53AM: In Japan, Brain Age is more popular then the first. Super Mario Galaxy is “”over the top””, While every Mario game is great, this is the best since Mario 64 the true successor, shows new suit for Mario a bee, Super Mario Galaxy comes out November 12th 2007 in the US!
12:51AM: Galaxy Footage, Why did this couple get to play it! I want to play it (again). Showing Family playing it as a group helping each other. It looks excellent.
12:50AM: Best Game design allows everyone to play. Miyamoto to Demo New Game for Everyone.
12:47AM: Our next challenge at Nintendo is to destroy barrier between hardcore and casual game players. We must accept that games are for everyone. Everyone has different tastes but you can always develop a taste for gaming. Zapper brings FPS to the expanded audience.
12:45AM: When we talk about casual gaming, hardcore gamers may feel left out. Iwata says what we have seen so far proves this is not the case. Veterans must remember the first time they played games. If casuals play these games now, they may be hardcore later on.
12:44AM: Talking about his first video game 30 years ago, not many gamers back then. He hoped one day that others would enjoy as much as him. Uses Brain Age and Nintendogs as examples of this, Wii Sports as well. Uses DS Cookbook on his day off to make food for his Family.

Madden and Fifa to be Online, for the DS – Dragon Quest Joker, Guitar Hero III will also have online modes with battles. One more Announcement! Mario Kart for Wii, ONLINE in Q1 2008. First Footage, Showing online battle mode, Variety of Control methods, including a Steering Wheel, white with some Blue on the back. Will be included with Mario Kart
12:34AM: 5.5 Million DS owners have played Online, 230 Million Gameplay Sessions, All players have yet to spend any money. 5.6 Million VC download, 112 Games, Talking about WiiWare, NEW CHANNEL.

12:30AM: Jackie from video coming on to play some MEtroid Prime 3, looking good, its a Lava type world, lighting looks good, its in 4:3. Lock on Free Aiming, makes it easy to look on to enemies, 3 sensitivity settings, Shows off Hyper mode, Stay in it for too long and makes you corrupted. Uses a energy tank.
12:25AM: Profiling the Hylia.com Owner and Contributor, talking about the DS and the Wii. Mike from the video and Bill Trinnen are now coming to play new games. Playing Phantom Hourgless, touch screen does not make it easier, new items use the touch screen, pull, drag, fighting all with the stylus. New Audiences are picking up Zelda for the first time, but the Hardcore are loving it.
12:24AM: Talking about Smash Updates, New Footage, Smash Bros Brawl in the US on December 3rd (Nintendo AU make it happen). Best Smash Ever. Least its coming out this year.
12:20AM: Nintendo packaging the Wii Zapper with games this year, $19US (cheap). Showing Soul Calibur Legends, Showing Smackdown V Raw on DS and Wii, Ninja Gaiden showing on the DS, not all gamers are fighters…
Square Enix bringing, Swords for Wii in early 08, Sonic and Mario Olympics show running, looks good.

60 Games in Wii Catalogue, 300 in DS. USA players get 140 DS games before the end of the year, and 100 for the Wii. 14 of the top 20 wii best sellers have been third party. More then 1/2
12:13AM: Lots of Soccer Mums playing, 50% of over 50’s play Wii, 10% for Females over 50 years. A First in Video Game History. Nintendogs, Wii Sports and Brain Training are sattelites, attract and elist brand new players, growing the market.
12:11AM: 80/20 Split on Male/Female gaming on every but Nintendo, Nintendo is on 33% for Females and 67% for Males. Not just America, in Japan, its even more pronounced, Wii hasnt been around long enough but they are already analyzing who is playing at. The core of the games market is still the core of the Wii Market.
12:09AM – Older gaming market is being expanded, Players of 25 account for a 1/3 of Nintendo Revenues. This didnt start as good as last year did it?
12:07AM – 69% of all game industry growth comes from Nintendo products, Home Game systems used to be 2/3 of all game system sales, last year dropped to half. Gah Sales Charts! Nintendo DS doubled its share of sales, the GBA also still huge.
DS Marketshare is up a full quarter of all sales in the US
12:06AM – Video Game Market in US up 50% in the first half of the year, 42% up in the UK and 114% in Japan, This is not possible with just the normal gaming market but a expanded market.

12:05AM – Cue Reggie and his Mii – My Name is Reggie and I am Happy, Today is more then a Press Conference, its Celebration. Not just a Celebration for Nintendo but everyone. Today a turning point for the Video Game Market. E3 here in 2007 might be seen as a coming out party for the Gaming Industry. Video Games taking there place aside TV and Music, a staple of Leisure.
