Get ready to kick some bad guy butt in LEGO City.
Nintendo has taken the wraps off LEGO City: Undercover at its 2012 E3 press conference this morning. The City themed Lego set comes to life as players take on the role of undercover detective, Chase McCain. His job, to go undercover and stop another Lego man named Rex Fury from unleashing a crime wave on LEGO City.
The game will use the Wii U GamePad to scan for hidden clues and criminals, and will also allow players to receive mission updates and check what’s going on around the game map in real time. On top of this, there’ll be a bunch of different disguises players can take on, which allow a range of Lego-related problems and missions to be solved.
To support all of this there will be over 100 vehicles to drive, ride and even fly. It’s a real fully open world Lego game that some have even dubbed as ‘Grand Theft Lego’. The game is also one of the few Lego games to be entirely voice acted, no mumbling and funny noises here.
LEGO City: Undercover will be available exclusively on the Wii U when the system is launched. The title will eventually be available for the 3DS though we’re yet to see any footage of this version of the game.
See how much you did, or didn't play things.
