E3 2011: Wii U third party line up is vast, brings back the hardcore
Tekken, Assassins Creed, Ghost Recon, Ninja Gaiden, Metro, Batman and more
If you were worried that Nintendo wasn’t going to take things seriously this time around, then think again. Nintendo showed off a reel in the closing parts of their conference, showcasing a great big lineup for Wii U third party games coming to the system. Not only were there a fair few developers praising the system, even developers who previously haven’t even done anything for Nintendo, like Irrational Game’s Ken Levine, had their two cents to say.
The montage didn’t show cut down versions of these games, but instead the real deal. Games including Darksiders II (which will be there for launch), Batman Arkham City, Dirt, Tekken, Assassin’s Creed, a new Ghost Recon entry, Aliens Colonial Marines, Ninja Gaiden 3 and Metro Last Night were featured prominently and looked superb.
The boss of EA Games also took to the stage later on giving his thoughts on the system and talking about the systems online features. He specifically asked the audience to consider the notion of Battlefield 3 and various EA sports titles running flawlessly on Wii U. Read up more about them in this article. For now, check out the trailer to see the awesome contained within.
