The extreme sports legend has shown off his latest game at the Ubisoft E3 press event

Hanging up his snowboard for the wheeled alternative, Shaun White’s next video game adventure will be looking to have a unique take on the skateboarding video game genre.

White has stated that with Shaun White Skateboarding, you will ’change the world through skateboarding, interact with the environment and do what you want to do’. Using a new feature called "transformation", players will be able to alter the world around them as they skate, and will need to bring colour and life back to the world.

The "Ministry" world starts off lifeless and devoid of colour, and responds to the player’s skating and tricks. Rails and objects that you can perform tricks on can be reshaped in realtime, allowing the player to dictate not only what tricks to pull off, but also whereabouts they would like to pull them off.

The game plays a lot closer to traditional Tony Hawk-style skaters, with the emphasis on showy tricks rather than realism.
