Straight out of the Nintendo E3 Presentation this morning, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata has demonstrated that wireless connectivity on the 3DS will be as prominent as ever on a Nintendo handheld. The 3DS will feature a "tag" mode, similar to the Bark Mode in Nintendogs, that will allow the system to communicate with other 3DS systems while the lid is closed.
The same feature will also allow the 3DS to search out and connect to local Wi-Fi networks. This will allow it to automatically obtain game data updates, much in the same vein as WiiConnect24 on the Wii.
The best part is that there will be no monthly fee to use the feature. Well have more details on this and other features of the 3DS in the coming days.
Big name first party titles aplenty, all the big names.
We've never had to write PlayStation so many times before.
