Theres already a ton of games on the way from third-parties, big names, big games

Nintendo let third-party developers know about the Nintendo 3DS a while back, they’ve been great in being able to keep the secret. The upside of this secrecy is that developers have been working on the games for a while and at E3 there is a huge splurge of titles announced.

As well as Nintendo’s Kid Icarus and Nintendogs + Cats, games from publishers including Activision, Atlus, AQ, Bandai Namco, Capcom, EA, Harmonix, Hudson, Konami, KT, Level 5, Majesco, MMV, Rocket, Square Enix, Sega, Takara Tomy, T2, THQ, Ubisoft and WB Games have been confirmed. Iwata promised many more that were not listed as well.

Some of the third party games listed included DJ Hero 3D, Kingdom Hearts 3D, Saints Row, Madden NFL, Dead or Alive 3D, Ninja Gaiden, Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil, Ridge Racer, Metal Gear Solid, Professor Layton and Samurai Warriors.
