EA has revealed the next instalment in the Need for Speed franchise with Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. The HD versions are being developed by the legendary Critereon Games who have previously worked on the Burnout series. The Wii version of Hot Pursuit is in development by Exient, who gave us Need for Speed: Undercover on the Wii. The "Hot Pursuit"-branded games in the Need for Speed catalogue are regarded as the best in the series, so this is a promising sign that EA is confident in the work gone into the series reboot.
Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit finally takes the franchise back to its roots with cop vs. racer chases with exotic vehicles. For the first time in the series, you can play through career mode either as a racer or as a cop both online and offline on the HD versions, although we’re still awaiting confirmation that the Wii version will have the same online support. The game will retain the open-world feature from Criterion’s previous effort, Burnout Paradise.
The games is due November 16th in North America and November 18th in Europe for all platforms including the Wii.
From Mario to Zelda, to Splatoon to Donkey Kong. Everything on Nintendo Music.
Definitively done with the Wii U now.
But it's not for everyone yet.
