E3 2008: Miyamoto speaks on the Mario and Zelda Team’s progress
It seems Miyamoto can say so much with revealing very little but in an interview with IGN, theyve managed to pluck out some information which may at first seem very underwhelming but when you look into it a bit, it is actually quite tasty. With out letting anything big slip, he did mention that the teams that worked on Pikmin and New Super Mario Bros. are hard at work. What could that mean? Who knows. More inside Many people are betting that the project the Pikmin team are working on will be Pikmin 3, which seems quite likely. The New Super Mario Bros. team however, no one can really say. Could it be a new New Super Mario Bros. game or something completely different? He also went on to say that the Zelda team is always working on Zelda, so its fair to assume that theyre working on another iteration at the moment. One interesting thing he did say though is that the Zelda franchise needs big, new ideas to change it all up a bit. IGN then didnt have another question, just a statement. We don’t really have a question. We just want you to make another Galaxy game.’ To this, Miyamoto replied, “”Leave it to me.”” Another Mario Galaxy? Yes please.
