Hoping to zero in on the fastest-growing gaming genre, Ubisofts new fitness game will measure your shape across the course of your exercise program

Using a special, albeit unrevealed, new USB camera developed in collaboration by Nintendo and Ubisoft, the new fitness venture ‘Your Shape’ will have the ability to measure and record the physical shape of its users in order to track their progress across the game’s exercise regime. Felicia Williams showed off the new approach to living room exercise, which will minimalise use of the Wii-remote with a mostly hands-free interface that will allow players to use their own home exercise equipment such as dumbbells.

The spiffy new device has the ability to track movement, and the software will gradually adjust your exercise regime in response to the visual feedback of your body shape. The exclusive new camera will come packed in with the new game, and is likely to be used for a bunch of unannounced stuff, and maybe a real game or two.
