Peter Moore claims that with ‘Grand Slam Tennis’, EA have met the demand for the most frequently requested sport on Wii, offering gamers the chance to play as one of 23 tennis legends from past and present- including the Wii-exclusive appearance of John McEnroe. Moore started off with a quick round against his EA Sports cohort Thomas Singelton, but appeared to struggle to get balls past him until ‘Pistol’ Pete Sampras quietly entered the stage behind Moore to offer him a hand. When asked about how the game measured up to the real Wimbledon experience, Sampras quipped that “this is easier!”
Wimbledon stadium will appear alongside the other three tennis Grand Slam events for the first time in a video game.
