Nintendo gave us a sneak peek into the future with the Wii Vitality Sensor which senses your heart rate and translates it back to the Wii.

Revealed during Nintendo’s E3 Press conference, the Wii Vitality Sensor is something Nintendo is currently working on back in the Kyoto headquarters and was shown as a "look into the future."The sensor which fits over your finger and plugs into the Wii Remote (we suspect) so far has a pretty vague use in games, Iwata said that at the moment they’re looking into how this can make you check your stress and relax.

We don’t think we’ll see more of the Sensor until sometime into the future, but the gaming as well as even medical applications could be interesting.
