E3 09: Golden Sun goes 3D for first venture on DS

The third instalment in the handheld RPG series was given a brief showing at Nintendos press conference at E3 this morning
Developer Camelot’s new adventure ‘Golden Sun DS’ brings a mix of 3D environments and 2D sprites to transport players to the fantasy world of Weyard. The story follows the descendants of the original Gameboy Advance Golden Sun games and implements the touch-screen to allow for a more immersive RPG combat experience. Little details were given, but the 3D visuals are some of the best yet produced on the DS and DSi.
