Did you think that Wii Fit was done? Think again – Wii Fit Plus is here to carry on the torch. The torch of fitness

Wii Fit Plus will be released as new with the balance board, likely taking the place of classic Wii Fit . It adds 6 new strength and yoga workouts, and 15 new balance games. Its seems that its main use will be as a better organisation tool for Wii Fit users. The game allows you to make customisable daily routines of differing lengths (20, 30 or 40 minutes), and these can be created to focus on certain areas of the body – arms, back, legs, and onwards.

It also lets you eliminate the team that the original Wii Fit had in between workouts, allowing for a non-stop workout. The game will also feature calorie-burning estimates before each workout.

The new balance games do look like a ton of fun. Snowball fights, chicken-suit flights, running trap covered gauntlets – theres a lot more variety here, but were not yet sure that it will justify a second purchase for many of us.

Wii Fit Plus is due out in the Americas in their Autumn, our Spring, this year. No word on the Australian release, but you can be sure that Vooks will tell you when there is.
