DSi Virtual Console an intriguing idea, but not yet happening
Nintendo of America has recently been asked about any plans for a possible Virtual Console on the Nintendo DSi, but it doesnt seem to be on the cards just yet.
The Nintendo DSi seems to be the Nintendo Wii’s little brother, with similar features such as a menu of ’channels’, internal storage and the ability to download games (DSiWare) to the console. With such similarities it seems that a Virtual Console for the Nintendo DSi was the only thing missing, but Nintendo doesn’t seem to have any plans for it.
A quote from Kaigler reads "…a portable Virtual Console isn’t something that we have plans for right now. It’s an intriguing idea, but I have to give you a straight answer, even if it isn’t the one you necessarily want to hear."
Oh well, the idea is there so surely a plan can’t take too long to put together, perhaps we could still see a DSi Virtual Console yet.
