Dragon Quest X streams its way to the Nintendo 3DS (literally)

Streams from the internet.

Square Enix has just announced that Dragon Quest X will be headed to the Nintendo 3DS this September in Japan.

The game which was originally released on the Wii will be cross compatible online with that version as well as the PC and Wii U version. This is because the game is not actually running natively on the Nintendo 3DS console but uses ‘the cloud’ to stream the game to the console  – just like the mobile version.

So the chances of this being released outside of Japan? Absolutely nil. Then again we are waiting on about 8 different other Dragon Quest games which haven’t been localised at all – so thanks Square Enix.
