Who saw this coming? Nintendo Europe announced via their Twitter that the Donkey Kong Country and Donkey Kong Land titles are all heading to Virtual Console in the coming weeks.
The SNES Donkey Kong Country games are heading to the Wii U with the first game coming this week, Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest coming on the 23rd of October, and Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble out on the 30th of October. And if you grab any one of these, you’re eligible for 33% off Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze on the eShop as well!
And that’s not all! The Donkey Kong Land GameBoy trilogy is heading to the 3DS eShop, with Donkey Kong Land coming this week, Donkey Kong Land 2 landing on the 23rd, and Donkey Kong Land III hitting the eShop on the 30th, just like the Wii U. Speaking of, you’re eligible for 33% off Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D if you grab any one of the Donkey Kong Land games. Whew!
