According to GamesIndustry.biz, Activision’s FreeStyleGames is already in contact with a UK-based independent developer to make a sequel for their upcoming rhythm game, DJ Hero. On top of that, DJ Qbert, who pioneered the first annotation system for composing on vinyl, is said to have been asked for inclusion in the sequel.
This shouldn’t really come as a surprise, given Activision’s treatment to their Guitar Hero franchise. It does show their confidence in the game, though, since they must expect the game’s sales to perform well.
DJ Hero is set to hit Australian shores on October 28.
