Disney Infinity 3.0 LightFX figures launch in Australia on December 17th
Australian Infinity fans might have been curious about whether the Star Wars LightFX figures would release here or not, but worry not – Disney Interactive have confirmed today that we’ll be getting these figures on December 17th, so you’ll be able to pick them up the same day you see The Force Awakens!
These LightFX figures are limited editions with new lightsabers that will light up when the figure is placed on the game portal. In-game they’ll mark that character’s Hall of Heroes statue with a lightsaber icon, but otherwise function the same as their normal counterparts. There are six of these special figures – Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, and Anakin Skywalker are exclusive to Big W, while Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Kanan Jarrus are exclusive to Target. Thankfully we don’t have to go on a pilgrimage to a bunch of different stores like Americans had to this week!
In the US these figures cost a dollar more, so we can probably expect them to cost a little more here, too. We’ll keep you updated if pricing information is confirmed.
Kylo Ren Light FX (EB Games exclusive in Australia) is available now (early?) instore and online (https://ebgames.com.au/ps3-215292-Disney-Infinity-30-Star-Wars—Kylo-Ren-Light-FX-PlayStation-3).
The Bourke Street Melbourne/Nintendo Experience store has them for sale now (I bought one today), however they don’t have the LIGHT FX stickets on the blister packs. Look for the $22.95 price sticker (vs $14 normal non-Light FX) and on the back of the card will confirm illumination as well as a thicket baseplate.
