When gamers took home their brand-spanking-new Guitar Hero 3 Bundles for Wii, they happily read on the box that the game supported Stereo and Dolby Pro Logic II Surround-Sound standards. Their joy turned to anger as it trickled out that the game’s sound was actually outputting in Mono. For weeks they moaned and groaned, and it appeared that Activision would stay silent on the issue. More inside
However, Activision have came out and spoken on this issue. “”We are currently working with Nintendo and are planning to issue an improved audio experience in future versions of the game.”” Activision are currently looking into the problem, stating that the solution’s timeframe is still unknown at the moment. Expect a Disk Replacement program early next year for no cost, as the problem is not simply able to be fixed in a downloadable patch- The output looks to be in need of remastering.

Activision Australia have not commented on the issue, but it is expected to be the same as our American Counterparts.
