Creators of WiiWare game Bruise and Scratch soured by WiiWare experience and sales The creators WiiWare title Bruise and Scratch have spoken out of their experience with the WiiWare service and the lacklustre sales the game has so far received. If you havent heard of the game, the game is a puzzler and is currently only on the US WiiWare service.

The first problem developers Steel Penny say is that they over estimated the market and that The typical Wii user doesnt have any idea that the Wii can connect to the internet. The crowd that gravitates toward WiiWare is actually fairly hardcore, and a very small segment overall. In essence, were trying to sell lemonade in a biker bar. Reviews from US media were also less than glowing and these two factors basically spelled death for the title.

While the Wii has a huge user base, a large section of them have yet to connect their Wiis to the internet, something that even Nintendo has acknowledged as a problem (but seem to do be doing little about it).

Steel Penny says that if they had the time they, might take the game back to the drawing board and tinker with it, but dont expect that to happen any time soon.
