After three years missing in action the Detective Pikachu game has been revealed.

The games full title is The Great Detective Pikachu: Birth of a New Partnership. It will be released on the Nintendo 3DS eShop next week on February 3rd 2016. Preloads begin tomorrow and there will be a discount if you buy it before release (assuming you’re in Japan).

The game features a Pikachu that’s not quite like any other, this one can talk and has quite a deep voice. He’s described as being as smug and loveable. The games genre is a ‘Cinematic Adventure’.

The Japanese trailer is below and contains information which will hopefully be translated as soon as possible.
