Details on Bioware’s Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood

Last year we were all shocked by the news that Knights of the Old Republic developers Bioware were going to develop a Sonic RPG of all things. While still as skeptic as if Nintendo were making a Halo game a few details have been revealed about the game via the latest publication of Nintendo Power. Details inside The game will be a typical RPG implementing full stylus control, and it wont just be Sonic youll be controlling but Tails, Amy, Knuckles, Amy, Rouge, Shadow and Big the Cat as well. Each character has different abilities for use in turn based combat.

As the game is a RPG there is some sort of plot to go with it, but this being Sonic the story is a bit more light-hearted than Biowares other RPG efforts. Sonic is on vacation after defeating Eggman 2 year ago, he receives a call from Tails and is informed that Knuckles has been kidnapped by a mysterious group calling themselves the Marauders, and to make matters worse 6 chaos emeralds are missing! Eggman will not the main villain of the game but Bioware wants to make him a credible bad guy again and they plan to do this with a twist.

Sonic RPG will also feature fully animated cut scenes, dialogue trees and side quests as would be expected from Bioware.
